For the metallic analysis of materials used, the structure of the component is prepared and analysed. This can be done not just on withdrawn samples of components in the laboratory, but also on site, on a mobile basis e.g. using the replica technique. The structural state provides information about the operating condition and the lifespan of the analysed component.
